Brest v PSG: Paris Saint-Germain backed to respond with Ligue 1 victory

Luis Enrique’s side have experienced mixed fortunes across all competitions at the start of the season. Paris Saint-Germain beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the UEFA Super Cup but were beaten 1-0 by Lens in the French Super Cup.

They did, however, open their latest UEFA Champions League campaign in emphatic fashion, defeating Slovan 6-1 in their first match.

The recent form figures offer little to separate the teams on one measure: Paris Saint-Germain have won one of their past five matches, while Brest have also recorded one victory in their last five.

The most recent meeting between the clubs ended in a narrow success for Paris Saint-Germain, who won 1-0.

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to draw a line under their early Ligue 1 setbacks by producing a more convincing display against Brest. The prediction is for a 3-1 victory for the visitors.
