Brattan rejects Turkey for Sky Blues
Luke Brattan says he "went with his gut" when turning down a move to Turkey and instead signing for Sydney FC.
The 29-year-old has become the fourth off-season signing by the defending A-League champions, after agreeing a one-year deal.
The last four or five seasons, they've really shown a winning culture.

Brattan has spent the past four years on the books of Manchester City, without making an appearance for the Premier League club.
And though he says his ambition is still to be successful in Europe, he feels he has made the right decision to turn down the chance of playing in the UEFA Europa League next season.
The midfielder travelled with his agent to Malatya to undergo a medical and sign a contract with Turkish Super Lig outfit Yeni Malatyaspor - who are involved in qualifiers for next season's Europa League - earlier this month.
"You hear a lot of things about Turkey ... it's a very good club, they had a great year last year, but I just had a strange feeling and I went with my gut," he said.
Brattan won the A-League double of championship and Premier's Plate twice while with his first club Brisbane Roar.
Unable to get a break with Manchester City, he has spent the past three seasons on loan with Melbourne City where he was part of their 2016 FFA Cup-winning side.
Melbourne Victory wanted to sign him after the proposed move to Turkey fell through but he opted to go to Sydney FC and began training with his new teammates on Friday.
"I'm extremely happy to be where I am at the moment. I just want to get back to enjoying football and enjoying life," he said. "The last four or five seasons, they've really shown a winning culture."
The Sky Blues have lost four midfielders, including Dutchman Siem de Jong, since last season.
Brattan is the second midfielder to be signed by coach Steve Corica ahead of the new campaign, following the capture of former Western Sydney marquee Alexander Baumjohann.
Sydney FC are 4/1 to win the 2020 Grand Final.
The Sky Blues are 3/1 to win the FFA Cup.
