Boost for Liverpool, Newcastle as target Andre Ayew dismisses Roma deal rumours
Ghana international winger Andre Ayew has denied reports that suggested he has agreed to leave Marseille and join Italian giants Roma sparking hopes of Liverpool and Newcastle.
This has sparked hopes for Liverpool and Newcastle who are among the several clubs in Europe who are keen on signing him.
The son of legend Abedi Pele is available on a free transfer at the end of the season and there are a host of top European clubs showing a keen interest in snapping up the 25-year-old.
Reports broke on Saturday morning from L'Equipe that suggested the Marseille star had agreed to sign for Roma and just the necessary paperwork was left to be sorted.
Ayew has been quick to deny these rumours though and the Ghanaian took to Twitter to confirm his current situation.
He said: "In the light of what I've read and heard, I would like to inform you that I have not yet taken a decision on my future."
Au vu de tout ce que je lis et entends, je tiens à vous informer que je n'ai pas encore pris de décision concernant mon avenir.

Premier League outfit Liverpool were said to have agreed a move earlier in the week, with Ayew set to sign a £42,000-a-week contract, but these reports have also been dismissed.
Liverpool and Swansea City in England, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke in Germany as well as Inter Milan and Roma in Italy are all keen on the Ghanaian.
