Super Eagle star, Victor Boniface has dismissed claims of taunting Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus during Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 victory over West Ham United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports

During the Europa League quarter-final first leg last Thursday, Boniface's celebration, resembling that of the Black Star forward, sparked rumors of mocking Kudus, who had a subdued performance.

Boniface clarified, stating, "It's not planned."

“To be honest I’ve been  seeing many comments on IG, but the celebration just came at that time it is not planned.” Boniface told OmasportTV.

He explained that the celebration was spontaneous, despite speculation from football fans in Ghana and Nigeria.

In response to inquiries about his tweets regarding Ghana-Nigeria football rivalry, the 23-year-old emphasized the friendly competition between the two nations, saying, "We and Ghana are brothers, but we need to cook each other. You understand, it is a normal thing."

Bayer Leverkusen will defend their 2-0 lead as they travel to London for the second leg against West Ham at the London Stadium on Thursday.
