Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has completed a season-long loan deal to Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 24-year-old's move comes after he failed a medical with AC Milan earlier, which led to the Italian club pulling out of the deal.

Despite the setback, Boniface has successfully passed his medical with Bremen, paving the way for the loan transfer.

The striker had previously trained with Leverkusen and was left out of the matchday squad for their 3-3 draw with Bremen.

Bremen's pursuit of Boniface is aimed at boosting their attacking options, following a disappointing start to the season.

Despite being hampered by injuries last season, Boniface managed eight goals in 19 league appearances, showcasing his potential as a key striker.
