Bobola Akinfolarin has taken temporary charge as Coach of Sunshine Stars after the exit of Coach Kennedy Boboye, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Akinfolarin who was first assistant takes over pending the appointment of a permanent head coach, according to Sunshine Stars management.

The development comes after Boboye resigned his position in an alleged interference in his work by the management of the club.

The management of the club has denied any wrong doing stating it only advised the coach.

Until his appointment as first assistant coach of Sunshine Stars, Bobola Akinfolarin was the Technical Director of Sunshine Queens.

He was also one of the pioneer players of Sunshine Stars FC.

News filtering in is that Deji Ayeni, former Akwa United coach and current head coach of Crown FC in Ogbomosho are linked to take permanent charge of the Owena Whales.

Ayeni left a memorable mark during his first tenure with the Owena Waves before moving to Akwa United.
