Black Stars head coach Avram Grant has reaffirmed his desire to improve the team by saying his doors are still open to emerging talents.

Debutant Bernard Mensah took full advantage of opportunity offered him to score a cracker in the game against Togo.

Grant has been criticized within the local media as being ‘’lazy’’ with his monitoring of player both in the local and foreign leagues generating concern.

But Mensah’s inclusion vindicates the Israeli trainers after the youngster joined a few but enviable players to have scored on their debuts for the Black Stars.

Grant says more emerging talents like Mensah will be afforded opportunity to help grow the team.

“Before the AFCON tournament we had little time to monitor players but after I have been able to watch some of the players,” Grant said after Ghana’s 1-0 victory over Togo

“I watched Mensah play twice and I have repeated that we are building a team not only for today but for the future.’

“So you will be seeing some young talents coming into team to help.”
