Ex-Hearts of Oak player Bernard Don Boartey has hit out on the current crop of players for their part in the teams woes this season.

The ex-Ghana international enjoyed maximum success with the Rainbow side during his time with the club.

Don Boartey won the CAF Champions League and CAF supper cup with the club and also won numerous league titles.

The club has however sunk to an all-time low with relegation steering at the club.

He says despite the challenges of management he is disappointed with the attitude of the players and their role in the continual degradation of the club.

“It was disheartening for me when I heard the Hearts players brooding over unpaid bonuses. In our days, we could go up to eight months without bonuses but we never complained because we were focused on the task ahead of ahead of us and we won several laurels for the club,” He told Accra based Happy FM

“The players have got to show commitment which is very key.”
