Bechem United midfielder Noah Martey says he’s not disheartened by his failure to get Ghana Under-20 call-up.

The defensive midfielder has scored four consecutive goals in the Ghana Premier League to underline his potential.

He has bagged in as many as five goals in eight games but was surprisingly left out of the country’s squad ahead of the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal.

However, the youngster says he’s not worried over the snub.

“I’m not worried at all because I know my time will definitely come. Although I am doing well and I would have loved to be part of the team I just have to take it cool and pray because I know if one door closes another opens,” Martey told Joy FM.

“I wish the team all the best and I know equally good players were selected to do well at the tournament.”

The Black Satellites have drawn South Africa, Zambia and Mali in group B.
