Bayern Munich prepare major contract offer to keep Michael Olise until 2032

Bayern Munich are preparing a new offer to extend Michael Olise’s contract, despite the France international being tied to the club until June 2029.

The Bundesliga champions kept the French forward of Nigerian and Algerian heritage this summer despite interest from elsewhere and now want to secure his long-term future in Germany.

According to German publication Bild, negotiations could prove complicated. Bayern are considering a significant increase to Olise’s salary in an attempt to persuade him to remain at the club.

Olise currently earns 13,510,000 euros, or 8,781,500,000 FCFA, per season. The proposed new deal could reportedly be worth almost 25 million euros a year, which would place him alongside Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala among Bayern’s highest-paid players.

However, Olise’s representatives are seeking the inclusion of a release clause in any new contract. That clause could be worth at least 200 million euros, making it a key issue in discussions over an agreement that Bayern would like to run until 2032.

No deal has yet been reached between the club and the player. Olise’s market value is estimated at 170 million euros by Transfermarkt.

The forward has made an impressive start to the season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in seven matches in all competitions.

Bayern’s next fixture will come in the fifth round of the German championship against Augsburg.
