Nigeria Premier Football League side, Bayelsa United have announced that it knows nothing about the departure of star player, Garando Tekena while confirming the transfer of Ekeson Okorie, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Tekena, who was vital in the the club securing its Premiership status in the just concluded NPFL season was unveiled by newly crowned champions, Rangers International a couple of days ago.

However, the Prosperity Boys announced through it social media pages that it cannot confirm that the midfield maestro's movement to the Enugu based club.

"The management of Bayelsa United Football Club is not aware of Tekena Garando move to Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side Rangers Int'l despite his viral pictures in the internet" A tweet from its official X page read.

Meanwhile, the club has confirmed the departure of winger Ekeson Okorie to the reigning champions.

Okorie who had been on loan for two seasons from Cynosure FC decided not to stay with Bayelsa United after the completion of the 2023/2024 NPFL season.
