Barcelona weighing move for Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez could leave Old Trafford for Barcelona, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

Barcelona are closely monitoring the 28-year-old’s situation as they consider making an approach for the Argentina defender. Martinez’s current contract with Manchester United is due to expire next summer.

However, the agreement includes an option allowing Manchester United to extend the deal by a further year unilaterally.

Martinez has made eight appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season and has scored once.
