Baccus inks long-term Wanderers deal
Midfielder Keanu Baccus has signed a new deal with Western Sydney that will take him through to the end of the 2021/22 season.
The South African-born player has started eight games this season for Markus Babbel's side, and scored one of the goals in their 3-2 defeat to Wellington Phoenix last month.
He came through the club's academy and was co-captain of Wanderers' youth team before signing his first senior deal in 2017.
Growing up in Western Sydney, the Wanderers are my hometown team and there's no better feeling for me than getting onto the pitch and representing where you have come from.

The 20-year-old, who was voted Western Sydney's Y-League Player of the Year in 2017, was set to come out of contract at the end of this season.
He said he was humbled by the chance to spend another three years with Wanderers.
"Growing up in Western Sydney, the Wanderers are my hometown team and there's no better feeling for me than getting onto the pitch and representing where you have come from," added the Australia U-23 international.
Club CEO John Tsatsimas said: "This is an exciting signing for the club and another example of the youth of Western Sydney coming through the Academy program and representing the region at an elite level."
Wanderers travel to Adelaide United on Saturday looking for just their third league win away to the Reds since they entered the A-League.
Babbel's side will be searching for back-to-back wins in the A-League for the first time since February 2018, following their 2-0 success against bottom side Central Coast Mariners.
That was a victory that took them seven points clear of the Gosford club and up to eighth in the table, though they are still 14 points off the Finals Series places.
Wanderers are 15/4 to win their next game against Adelaide United, who are 4/6 with the draw 3/1.
