NEWLY appointed chairman of Kano Pillars, FC, Mallam Tukur Babangida says he is under intense pressure from the team’s fans to return the former Nigerian champions to the pinnacle of Nigerian domestic football league.

Babangida who was announced as the new boss of the team by the government of Kano State last week following the sack of the former chairman, Kabiru Baita told Sports Vanguard in a telephone chat that the task ahead of him and his team is an enormous one even as he added that the task is not going to be an easy one due to a number of factors.

According to the former head of national competitions in the then Nigeria Football Association (NFA) the main challenge ahead of the new management team is to hire a sound technical adviser for the team as well as recruiting some quality players to beef up the team ahead of the 2016/17 league season.
