BA United’s board has handed an indefinite suspension to Chief Executive Roy Arthur for failing to account to his superiors.

Board member Peter Nimo confirmed to Sunyani-based Ark FM that: “The truth is that he has not been sacked been we have suspended him indefinitely.

“We have asked him to go home and when the time is right he will come back if only he wants to.

"When you are given a job, you must report periodically but Roy Arthur never did that. We told him two weeks after the First Round of the league, he should send us ( board) a report but he categorically told me he was not going to bring it."

Arthur was credited for leading the club from the lower division to the Premier League after ten years in the wilderness.

He was the youngest Chief Executive in the Premier League.

BA United have struggled to stay afloat and finished the first half of the season at the bottom with 13 points.
