BA United have appointed Stephen Ahenkan as their new coach following the exit of Mohammed Gargo.

Gargo left the club after just a game in charge after accusing his players of betting their fortunes in the Ghanaian top-flight.

The Sunyani-based side have moved quickly to plug the loophole by appointing the relatively unknown Ahenkan to steer their affairs.

He will supervise the side’s impending Ghana Premier League game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

United have struggled for form this season as they currently lie bottom of the table.
