AYC 2015: Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh aims at booking early World Cup spot
Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh hopes his side can book an early 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup spot on Thursday by beating Zambia in the second Group B match.
The 2009 winner wants his side to avoid a final day scramble by making it two wins in a row after Monday's 2-0 win over South Africa.
Tetteh is targeting to seal their place in the semi-final before their last match against Mali on Sunday.
"It is good we won the first game. A win tomorrow (Thursday) takes us to the last four which we dream of because we want to qualify for the World Cup," Tetteh is quoted by the Ghana News Agency.
"Tomorrow's game is very important to us and it will be ideal to qualify instead of leaving it to the wire. We are well prepared because we know we have an opportunity to qualify and we know it will be against a team that is wounded and will fire from all cylinders.
"We are ready. Our nearest challenge is Zambia and we want to win. It will be good for us to be the first team to qualify out of the group."
Ghana are seeking a fourth continental title at this year's tournament in Senegal.
