Avram Grant vows to build an all-conquering new Ghana team
Avram Grant has vowed to build a new Ghana team and remains confident he’s started the rebuilding exercise on a right note.
The 59-year-old has taken charge of the West Africans with his first task being the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations taken place in Equatorial Guinea.
The Israeli says he retains the appetite to reshape a new era built around future stars after accepting certain key players might not available in the long term.
He appreciates the patience of local fans as he embarks on a journey to make Ghana continental champions again.
"I feel the Ghanaian are very realistic about this," Grant said.
"Ofcourse, they would want us to win but we want to win more than everybody. I think it's a good thing and if you see all the successful teams in the world, they built themselves, they did some process and we are starting some process that I think would be good for Ghana for a long time.
"We are building the right steps, the Association supports us and the effort from the people support us. I want to win more than anybody. I would not come to any game without the desire to win.
The Black Stars will open their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a tricky tie against Senegal before games against Algeria and South Africa.
