Aurelien Tchouameni reaches 200-match milestone for Real Madrid

Aurelien Tchouameni made his 200th appearance for Real Madrid during the eighth round of the Spanish league, as the Madrid club secured a controversial victory over Villarreal. The match was decided by a single goal from Yan Diomande.

Tchouameni is the sixth French player to reach 200 appearances for Real Madrid. His next landmarks are Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga and Zinedine Zidane.

The midfielder is likely to overtake Zidane before the end of the season, although it is less certain whether he will surpass Mendy or Camavinga.

Karim Benzema remains the French player with the most appearances for Real Madrid, having represented the club 648 times.
