Atletico reject Manchester City interest in winger Alex Baena

Atletico have no plans to sell Alex Baena despite interest from Manchester City, according to Football Insider.

Manchester City are understood to admire the 25-year-old winger and have included him on their shortlist. However, signing Baena during either of the next two transfer windows is expected to be difficult because Atletico are not considering his sale.

The Madrid club’s position is strengthened by Baena’s long-term contract, which runs until 2030.

Baena has made five appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Manchester City and two other Premier League clubs are monitoring the Spain international.
