Atletico Madrid plan to sign Jonathan David permanently from Juventus

Atletico Madrid are pleased with Jonathan David’s performances and are considering activating their option to sign the Canada forward permanently from Juventus for 25m euros.

David, 26, joined Atletico Madrid on loan from the Turin club until the end of the 2026/27 season. According to Fichajes, the Spanish side’s hierarchy want to complete a permanent deal for the striker.

The Canada international could eventually replace Argentina forward Julian Alvarez, who may be sold by Atletico Madrid during one of the next transfer windows.

David has made three appearances for Atletico Madrid in La Liga this season. He has scored three goals and provided one assist.
