Asked about his own future, including Chelsea move rumours, 26-year old Uruguayan international centre-back José Maria Gimenez told Carrusel Deportivo: "I’m not leaving Atlético Madrid this summer. there are no doubts about this. I’m staying put, that's for sure”.
Playing for Colchoneros since as back as 2013/14, Gimenez, currently on a deal with Spanish giants until June 2023, has just been cheering his second La Liga title, as a follow-up to the one he achieved by the end of his rookie season.
