Atalanta CEO Opens Up on Lookman Transfer Talks Amid Inter Milan Interest
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has spoken out regarding the ongoing speculation surrounding Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, whose name has been strongly linked with a move to Inter Milan in recent days, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Despite widespread reports, no formal agreement has been reached between the Nerazzurri and Atalanta for the 26-year-old attacker, who played a key role in Atalanta's success last season.
Addressing the situation on Monday, Percassi reflected on past conversations with the player and clarified the club's stance on his future.
“We promised to sell him for two reasons: that he joins a big club and that he is never seen in another jersey in Italy,” Percassi told Actualité Serie A.
Reports indicate that Lookman submitted a transfer request on Sunday, signaling his desire to move on from the Bergamo-based side.
