Aston Villa make progress in talks to extend Emiliano Buendia’s contract

Aston Villa are nearing an agreement with midfielder Emiliano Buendia over an extension to his contract, according to Daily Mail Sport.

Negotiations between the club and the 29-year-old are reported to be progressing well, with a deal now close to being finalised.

Buendia joined Aston Villa in 2021 after the club paid Norwich 38.4m euros for the Argentina international.

He has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals. His current contract with the English club runs until the end of June 2027.
