Asisat Oshoala leads Barcelona Femeni to league title win
Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala scored as Barcelona Femeni defeated Sporting Club Huleva to seal their fourth consecutive Spanish Women's League title on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Falcons forward came from the bench to score the third goal in the champions 3-0 win over Sporting at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.
Laia Codina Panedas opened score in the 39th minute of the game to give the Host the lead in the first half and the impetus for a better second half.
Jana Fernandez added one more in the second half, 63 minutes into the game to ensure a two-goal lead.
A minute later, Gueye Ferreira was substituted and Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala was brought in in her stead.
The five-time African Women footballer of the year put the icing on the cake with her goal and Barcelona Femeni's third to seal off the game.
The goal became her 20th of the season in 24 matches after going 7 matches without a goal. She also has two assists.
Barcelona Femeni have now won 8 League title with their fourth consecutive title this season. The first four titles were also won consecutively from 2011 to 2015.
Barcelona have four matches to spare before the season ends with 78 points after 26 matches.
