Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson is hoping that a win this weekend against Medeama will kick start their crushing campaign.

The Champions have endured a frustration start to their league defense with just two victories from nine games.

Kotoko’s goal scoring rate this season has drastically fallen with just seven goals from nine games, only Great Olympics have scored less [5] and have drawn 4 games the poorest for the season so far.

But Abeiku is hoping that they can get a win this weekend to breathe life into their campaign.

“We have not started really well and that is a fact but we are looking for a win against Medeama and that should restore confidence,” Abeiku told Ghanasoccernet.com

“Football is strange sometimes just a win is all that is needed to restore confidence.”
