Asante Kotoko have confirmed a verbal bid from MC El Eulma for striker Ahmed Toure.

The Ivorian striker impressed with his general play when Kotoko held the Algerian club to a barren draw in the CAF Champions League game over the weekend.

Officials of El Eulma were so impressed with the performance of Toure they wanted to strike a deal with Kotoko for his services.

But the club’s General Manager Opoku Nti says talks have been deferred until when the Algerian side travel to Ghana for the return leg of the Champions League tie.

“Yes is true they [El Eulma officials] approached us on Toure but we told them that we can sit down well when they come to Kumasi for the second leg,” Opoku Nti revealed to Sportscrusader.com.

Toure only returned to Kotoko three months ago on a fresh three-year deal.

The 27-year-old has expressed his eagerness to see out his contract with the Ghanaian giants.
