Asante Kotoko have returned to the country on Sunday night after their big performance in Algeria where they played out a 0-0 draw game against MC El Eulma in the CAF Champions League first qualifying round first leg tie.

Kotoko have struggled domestically after a sluggish start which has seen them plunged into the relegation but put up a defensive masterclass to survive.

Their performance in Algeria coupled with the arrival of David Duncan is however expected to lift the gloom and kick start their flattering campaign.

“We gave a good performance in Algeria and the entire team gave their all in what was a difficult game,” Opoku Nti told GHANASoccernet.com

“We are back and the attention is simply to build on the performance and continue to improve.”

Kotoko are 14th on the league log with 11 points after ten round of games.
