Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has arrived in Iran with his Al Ain team ahead of their Asian Champions League match against Naft Tehran on Tuesday.

The Boss arrived in the Iranian capital in full confidence just 24 hours after securing an impressive 3-0 win over Al Fujairah in their domestic league.

The impressive league win also saw the return of Asamoah Gyan to his scoring best as he registered a brace on the day.

Al Ain are now in Tehran to take on Naft in their second group game of this season’s Asian Champions League.

Zlatko Dalic’s team of 20 players arrived on a private jet on Sunday evening with the aim of registering their first three points in their continental campaign following a disappointing opening day draw at home to Al Shabab.

Naft Tehran are themselves in desperate need of a win to revive their campaign after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Pakhtakor in their opening Group B game.

Al Ain are now second in Group B with just a point.
