Asamoah Gyan to wear jersey no.35

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has been handed the no.35 jersey at his new club Shanghai SIPG.

The 29-year-old is unable to secure his preferred no.3 jersey as it is already being used by an existing player.

Gyan has undergone a photo shoot in Shanghai SIPG colours ahead of his official unveiling on Wednesday.

The Black Stars captain completed a mega move to the title-chasing Chinese club late last week from UAE club Al Ain.
