Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan is confident of a win over Al Shabab on Wednesday to qualify the side for the next stage of the Asian Champions League.

The Boss are away to the Saudi giants in the penultimate group game on Wednesday.

Al Ain failed to beat Al Shabab in their first meeting in the Champions League – with Ghanaian defender Awal Mohammed impressing on his debut against Gyan.

The Black Stars captain is however very positive of a win this time around with Al Shabab’s stuttering domestic form.

“Al Shabab are a very tough side in Saudi Arabia,” he told Angel FM.

“Their last three games hasn’t been off the best because they’ve lost a couple of games.

“So we look to take advantage of that with our high confidence level to win the game and qualify for the next stage.”
