Striker Asamoah Gyan admits he is worried about his fitness ahead of Ghana’s 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda.

Gyan is struggling with a knee injury he picked up after coming on as a late substitute in the friendly win over Congo on Tuesday.

The Black Stars captain is now required to rest to help his knee heal faster in order to make a quicker return.

Gyan admits he is worried at the prospect of missing the game against Rwanda on Saturday with his dodgy fitness.

"My knee is swollen," he revealed.

"I am really worried a bit but it will depend on the technical team."

The Black Stars are looking to maintain their winning start to the qualifying campaign in Saturday’s game against Rwanda in Kigali.

Ghana crashed Mauritius 7-1 in the opening round of the qualifiers back in June.
