Arsenal's summer transfer plans have hit a snag after their initial target, Napoli's Victor Osimhen appears out of reach due to a hefty price tag with the Italian club's president, Aurelio de Laurentiis declaring Osimhen likely to stay, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

Follwing Osimhen's impressive performance for Napoli, the Nigeria international extended his contract until 2026 which further strengthens De Laurentiis' bargaining position. The €130 million release clause makes him a high-risk, high-reward prospect, potentially out of Arsenal's budget.

Given the high asking price and lack of flexibility from Napoli, Arsenal seem to be exploring alternative options, walking away from a potential summer transfer after  Chelsea also left as the duo are now considering a younger, potentially less expensive player.

With Osimhen off the table, Arsenal appears to be focusing on younger, cost-effective options like Sesko. The race for the Slovenian striker's signature will be interesting, with Chelsea and Manchester United also in the mix.
