Arsenal have launched a surprise bid to sign Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman, worth €50m plus bonuses, with defender Jakub Kiwior potentially included in the deal to reduce the fee, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Lookman, who played in the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid, had been linked to Paris Saint-Germain, but their approach did not materialize into a concrete offer.

The Nigerian international missed training and was omitted from the squad for the Serie A opener against Lecce, fueling speculation about his future.

FootballItalia via Sportitalia claims Arsenal's bid includes Kiwior, possibly on loan with an option to buy, to lower the transfer fee.

Atalanta, however, are keen to retain Lookman and are willing to double his wages after an impressive season, where he scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 45 games.
