Arsenal join race for Real Madrid forward Endrick’s 2027 loan

Arsenal are considering a January loan move for Real Madrid forward Endrick, becoming the latest club to assess a possible deal for the Brazil international.

The 20-year-old attacker spent the second half of last season on loan at French club Lyon after struggling to establish himself in the Real Madrid first team under Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa.

Endrick made a strong impression during his time in Ligue 1, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists in 21 appearances across all competitions. He returned to Madrid in June to take part in pre-season preparations.

His availability has attracted interest from several clubs ahead of the start of 2027. Liverpool made contact about a loan agreement covering the whole of the 2026/27 season, but that proposal was rejected.

Jose Mourinho wanted to assess Endrick after the forward returned from injury before deciding whether to sanction a temporary move. However, Endrick has played only four minutes for Real Madrid since recovering.

AC Milan are also considering making an offer at the beginning of the year, while Arsenal continue to monitor the situation. The London club are now among the teams weighing up whether a loan could give Endrick more regular first-team football.

Mikel Arteta wants to bring in at least one more attacker after seeing Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Arsenal’s interest means Real Madrid could face a decision over Endrick’s future if further approaches arrive during the January window.

Endrick’s previous loan spell provided him with consistent opportunities and produced 16 direct goal contributions in 21 matches. Despite that form, he returned to Real Madrid and has had limited involvement following his injury.

Liverpool’s proposed arrangement would have kept him away for the entire 2026/27 campaign, but Mourinho chose to evaluate him first. With AC Milan and Arsenal also monitoring developments, the forward’s lack of playing time could lead to renewed interest in a loan at the start of the year.
