Nigeria forward, Tolu Arokodare has reaffirmed his commitment to Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk, despite reported interest from Turkish club Trabzonspor, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 23-year-old striker has made a strong start to the 2024/25 season, scoring in both of Genk's opening fixtures, including a 3-1 defeat at OH Leuven and a comeback win against champions Club Brugge.

Arokodare dismissed speculation about his future, saying: "Only players who retire really know when it's their last match anywhere. As for me, this was not my last match for Genk, I think."

He added: "There are still matches to come. Next week we play against Beerschot. I'm focused on that and not on rumours. I have a contract with Genk and I will respect that by doing my job."

Arokodare's statement suggests he is dedicated to Genk, despite Trabzonspor's reported interest.
