Andrey Santos backs Michael Carrick as Manchester United’s winless run reaches five games

Manchester United midfielder Andrey Santos says the players “believe in Michael Carrick” despite growing speculation over the manager’s position.

The statement came after the Red Devils suffered another setback, losing 2-0 to Atletico de Madrid in the Champions League.

That result extended Manchester United’s run without a victory to five consecutive matches, increasing the pressure surrounding Carrick.

Santos joined Manchester United from Chelsea last summer.
