Andre Ayew emotional ahead of final Marseille match on Saturday
Marseille winger Andre Ayew says it will be difficult to contain the emotion in his final match at the Stade Velodrome on Saturday.
Ayew will run out onto his home pitch for the final time when Marseille welcome Bastia, before he leaves after 11 years at the club.
The 25-year-old has made over 200 appearances for Les Phocéens in what has been a fine career at his boyhood club.
He says it will be difficult to hold his tears in but hopes the side can end on a winning note.
"Finishing third is important and the result against Bastia is important," said Ayew referring to Marseille's bid to take the final Champions League place on offer.
"But this game is not just any game for me.
"I don't know how to approach this. I didn't think this day would come, me leaving the Velodrome after 11 years at Marseille.
"I just want to skip Saturday. But that's life. The day is coming and I don't know what will happen. But I need to focus on this game."
Many have lost count on the number of teams that the Ghanaian international has been linked.
One thing is however certain. He will not play for Marseille next season.
