Carlo Ancelotti spoke in the pre-match press conference on the eve of the match between Milan and Napoli. The Azzurri's coach expects a display of maturity from his team as they prepare for a tricky test at AC Milan looking to remain firm on the heels of league leaders Juventus. "I expect my players to play with maturity in Milan,” the coach declared at a press conference on Friday. “We've already shown we've improved the mental side of our game.”

The boss acknowledged that going back his former stomping ground will a strange experience for him but insisted business comes before sentiment: "It will be nice and exciting for me to go back to the stadium where I spent an important period of my career. If I had the choice, I'd never play against AC Milan but as professionals we have to get on with it so I'm focused on the match. It will be nice to see Gattuso again – we share an emotional bond."

About the two games against Milan he said: "We have a very tough match tomorrow and we're determined to give it our all because we want to remain on Juventus' tails and keep the title race alive. Tuesday is an all-or-nothing game and we'll worry about that afterwards. My team selection tomorrow certainly won't be affected by the fact we have a game on Tuesday. We'll take each game as it comes and right now we're focused only on the next one.”

Ancelotti also clarified the situation regarding Allan: "He's staying with us. De Laurentiis and the club are determined to keep him here. We understand the boy's situation and his expectations but the president is determined to maintain this squad as it is. "Allan isn't in the squad because he's had a lot on his mind this week."

Abou Fabian Ruiz Ancelotti said: "Fabian is a modern midfielder who can perform well in several positions. He's not your typical deep-lying playmaker but he has great ability which allows him to cover various areas of the pitch."

Finally, the Azzurri's coach responded to a question about the possibility of him extending his contract at the club. "It's too early to talk about that. I've only been here six months. Let's wait another year or so and then we'll see. The club respected my wishes when I asked them to leave the squad as it was. I don't want to add any more pressure from my end. I'm very happy at Napoli and Napoli are very happy with me.”
