Akwa United have resume training ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL season.

 

The 2020/2021 season league champions gear up with expectations to do better than they did last time.

 

The Orange Boys finished ninth with fifty two points with six points away from the top four.

 

Wisdom Fernando who was rumoured to have joined Rivers United took part putting paid to insinuations he left the Promise keepers.

 

The league is expected to resume on the 23rd of September even though there are no indications to that effect. Besides, the NFF election of 30th September seem to be taking away any possibility of the league starting soon.
