Ajax forward Chuba Akpom has attracted interest from Leicester City and Olympic Marseille, with the Dutch club reportedly open to a loan deal for the 29-year-old Nigerian-born striker, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Akpom, who has scored eight goals in 31 appearances for Ajax this season, previously rejected a loan move to Sunderland.

He has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract with Ajax, which he joined in 2023 after a successful spell with Middlesbrough.

Leicester City and Marseille are now vying for Akpom's signature, with the French side potentially offering him a new challenge in Ligue 1.

Akpom's desire for regular playing time, particularly as a striker, may influence his decision.
