Ahmed Musa shocked by Barbaric Attacks in Nigeria
Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa has urged the Nigerian government to stop the high rate of insecurity across the country.
Vanguard – a Nigerian news publication – reported that armed bandits frequently block the Abuja-Kaduna road to attack and injure travellers, and steal their belongings while some are kidnapped.
Musa was recently on national duty with the Super Eagles during the FIFA international break and he has since returned to Turkey where he is on the books of Fatih Karagumruk.
The 29-year-old attacker took to his official Instagram page to express his concern about the security situation going on in his home country.
“It’s shocking to see images and videos of these incidents along Abuja/Kaduna roads,” Musa wrote as he also posted a video of the latest scene.
“These are people going about their normal business most likely seeking daily bread. Their safety should be of uttermost importance to the government.
“I, therefore, seek the indulgence of the authorities to please put an end to these atrocities by any means possible so that citizens can go about their normal lives without fear.
“This has to stop. It’s absolutely disheartening, to say the least.”
Musa became Nigeria’s outright top appearance-maker for the Super Eagles on November 13 when he featured against Liberia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
