Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has emphasized the need for new head coach, Finidi George to make an immediate impact, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports,

Finidi, who was officially confirmed in his new role last month, previously served as an assistant to former coach Jose Peseiro for two years and briefly led the team in an interim capacity during two friendly matches in March.

This month, Finidi will guide Nigeria for the first time as head coach in two crucial World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin.

“There are a lot of expectations for him now that we have two very difficult games to play for the World Cup qualifiers.

“The important thing is just to win these two games because if we win, a lot of confidence will come for him and the team. So we just have to support him and wish him the best of luck,” Musa told ESPN via Daily Post.

Nigeria already in an unprecedented third position in Group C of the qualifiers, must win triumph over the Bafana Bafana on Friday and the Squirrels three days later to have the strides back in their side.
