As per reports available to us at Nigriasoccernet.com, each Super Eagles player could pocket about $35,000 (over 42 million Naira) should they win the title at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

This is as a result of the approval of the Federal Government win-bonus of $5,000-a-match for each Super Eagles player at the competition. A draw will fetch a player half that amount, which is $2,500.

To get this bonus, the Super Eagles will need to win seven matches to be champions of Africa 10 years since their last conquest in South Africa.

With the winner guaranteed $7m prize money, the players could earn more money if they win the competition.

Drawn in Group A with hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will open their bid for a 4th AFCON trophy against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday 14th January, 2024.
