AFCON'23: Boniface to undergo surgery; set for 3 months on the sidelines
Super eagles striker, Victor Boniface is set to undergo a surgery after picking up an injury in Super Eagles AFCON 2023 camp in Dubai, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
The goalpoacher sustained a groin injury during the Super Eagles camping in Dubai for the African Cup of Nations and as confirmed by his German club Bayer Leverkusen, he will be out of action for three months.
“Victor Boniface suffered a muscle-tendon injury in the right adductor area during the Nigerian training camp in Dubai,” the club stated.
"The striker will undergo surgery in the coming days and is expected to be out of action until early April.
“We wish you a speedy recovery", the club said.
The services of the lethal striker will surely be missed by the Super Eagles in Cote d'Ivoire and also his club who were initially expecting his return in February.
