Nigeria Super Eagles Coach Jose Peseiro has spoke about the his team not getting ahead of themselves after the win over host nation, Cote D'Ivoire in the second group game in the African Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Portuguese gaffer in the pre match conference of Nigeria versus Guinea Bissau stated that his team needs to focus on the game on Monday and live in the euphoria of the win in the last match.

He asked his players the win on Thursday as there is more work to be done.

“We have to forget that we defeated the host nation. There is a lot more work to be done. We want to be here for the long haul.”

The Super Eagles are expected to qualify to the next round after a win over the Elephants, but they most first get a win or draw in their last group A match against Guinea Bissau to be sure of qualification to the round of 16.

The Super Eagles will play Guinea Bissau on Monday at 6pm Nigerian time at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
