Super Eagles star striker, Victor Osimhen was left out of the team that traveled to Bouaké, the venue of the semi final match against South Africa on Monday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Report from the Super Eagles camp says the team travelled by a 10pm flight from Abidjan, but left behind the Napoli striker due to abdominal discomfort.

According to the update, the reigning African footballer of the year is under the watch of the team's medics and if he is cleared by tomorrow (Tuesday) he will join the squad by 5pm.

"Members of the team traveled from Abidjan to Bouaké today via a 10pm Air Cote D'Ivoire flight. Osimhen did not however make the trip as a result of an abdominal discomfort. Team medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him. If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5pm." A post from the Super Eagles X handle read.

The Super Eagles square up against their bitter rivals the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday at the Peace Stadium of Bouaké on Wednesday at 6pm Nigeria time.
