AFCON 2023: Osaze Odemwingie tips Nigeria to win title
Former Nigeria international, Peter Osaze Odemwingie is tipping Nigeria to win the 2023 African Cup of Nations ahead of the host nation on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Odemwingie spoke to Channels TV on Friday stated that the Super Eagles stood a better than the Elephants of Cote D'Ivoire.
He described the Nigerian team as mentally and emotionally better even though Cote D'Ivoire are no push overs.
Having defeated them in the group stage, Osaze said: “I think we have the upper hand mentally and emotionally”.
“We have all the talents. We have a team with more talented players than Cote d’Ivoire,” the former West Brom star said on Friday’s edition of Channels Television’s Sports Tonight
Nigeria play the hosts at Stade Alassane Ouattara, Ebimpé on Sunday 9pm.
