Nigeria Super Eagles hero at the African Cup of nations semi final win over South Africa, Stanley Nwabali has expressed delight over the win stating he just wants to make Nigerians happy, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nwabali who emerged the man of the match after a couple of saves during the match and 2 saves during the penalty shoot out which ended 4-2 revealed all wants to do is make Nigerians happy when he does his job.

Nwabali who couldn't contain his joy thanked all who have supported him along the way in the tournament.

He said, "I don't really know how I am feeling. When I look around, because of Nigerians, I only want to make them happy and just make them feel good.

"I did not even expect this thing coming my way now but I give God the glory and I want to say a very big thank you to everyone, my club, Chippa United family, and my coaches here who always guide me.

With the regards to the final match with Cote D'Ivoire, the former Enyimba shot stopper wishes the match go in Nigeria's favour.

"Today showed me that it's going to be a D-day for us in the final but you know football, you can never predict but I wish it is going to come our way.

"They always know this slogan 'you no go gree for anybody' and I really want to do more for Nigeria, I love them all. Thank you to everyone who wishes me well."

Nwabali will be looking to continue his decent performance in the AFCON which has seen him keep 4 clean sheets in 6 matches, a feat that potentially put him in good stead for the award of the goalkeeper of the tournament.
