Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has been invited to partake in a special dinner organized by  the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to send-forth the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the upcoming 34th Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, this month in Ivory Coast as gathered by Nigeriasoccernet.com via Eche Amos.

Sule will be joined by colleague Governors, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State who is the Chief Host, Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

Nigeria's Sports Minister, Senator John Owan Enoh is the co-host of the special dinner.

The event holds on Tuesday, 9th January, 2024, in Lagos, a few hours prior to the three-time AFCON Champions' departure for Cote d'Ivoire in the tournament that will Kick-start this weekend.

Host of the event and NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, while expressing the readiness of the country's football governing body, disclosed that top officials of the Lagos State Government, a couple of legislators, NFF Executive Committee members, representatives of NFF's Corporate Partners and Sponsors, a handful of NFF's Management, Chairman and Board of the Lagos State Football Association, respected football investor, Hon. Kunle Soname, former Nigerian Captain, Dr. Olusegun Odegbami, leading artistes, top celebrities and influencers shall attend the occasion.

Nigeria are drawn in Group 'A' alongside host country, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.

The Super Eagles begin their quest for a 4th Continental title with a clash against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, 14th January, before facing host nation, Ivory Coast, on Thursday, 18th January, and will wrap up their Group's  game against Guinea Bissau on Monday, January 22nd.
